I'm part of a dedicated Service Design team who work with Haven Holidays. We have an agile, multi-disciplined team and approach, with close client contact. My role is is UX / UI fluid, seeing me work with Hotjar and Google Analytics to provide insights, to the project team and the client. This insight helps to gauge what is working and what may have to be reconsidered. With our team being small and dedicated it means we can be incredibly responsive to issue highlighting and solving.
While limited in terms of its 100% accuracy, I’ve been able to create artwork within Google maps itself to offer customers the opportunity to experience a version of the caravan parks from their home. We started the project by creating an MVP of the service and are now enhancing the service by adding new, more technical solutions which add value to the service for both customers and for the client. An example of this development has been to allow customers to switch park maps between artwork and satellite view to get a real feel for what's on the park and select an area that's perfect for them. We also added a park region search feature to the filter to allow customers to find a favourite spot easily on the map.
